Specialty Contacts

Regular hard or soft contact lenses are not right for everybody. If your eyes or your vision problems have prevented you from wearing contacts, be sure to ask your Focused Eye Care doctor about specialty options. Our doctors have extensive experience fitting specialty contact lens designs to correct your vision issues.

Why Specialty Contacts?

Some eye conditions cause blurry vision that is not correctable by glasses or regular contact lenses. These conditions require the use of custom designs that can compensate for the eye irregularities and improve vision.

Some of these eye conditions include:

  • Keratoconus
  • Pellucid marginal degeneration
  • Post-LASIK ectasia
  • Post-corneal transplant irregularities
  • Post-traumatic irregularities
  • Severe dry eye

Designs

The best specialty contact lens design will depend on your condition and prescription

Specialty contact lens designs include: Scleral lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, hybrid lenses and custom soft contact lenses. Your Focused Eye Care doctor will recommend the best options for you during your consultation visit.
