Kelly M. MacDonald, O.D.

Dr. MacDonald provides comprehensive eye care for the entire family. She is also focused on the diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases, such as glaucoma.

Dr. MacDonald earned her degrees at the New England College of Optometry, where she received numerous academic awards and volunteered extensively. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association, a long-time member of the Rotary Club of Nashua, and has been voted “Best Optometrist” in the greater Nashua area multiple times in recent years by readers of the Nashua Telegraph.

Scott D. Huffer, O.D./F.A.A.O.

Dr. Huffer is a primary care optometrist with a focus on ocular diseases. He completed residencies and training at Manchester VA Medical Center and Medical Eye Center in Manchester, NH, and at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He is a graduate of Siena College in Loudonville, NY and the New England College of Optometry in Boston.

Dr. Huffer is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, a member of the American Optometric Association, and a past president (2021) and current board member of the New Hampshire Optometric Association. He is also a member of the Rotary Club of Nashua West.

Sarah E. Jagatic, O.D.

Dr. Jagatic has extensive diagnostic and treatment experience with a wide range of ocular conditions, including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association and is a member of the Hollis Brookline Rotary Club.

Dr. Jagatic earned her Bachelor of Science in biology with highest honors from the University of Illinois, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Golden Key. She received numerous academic awards and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) with high honors from the Indiana University School of Optometry.

Anjelica M. Donnelly, O.D.

Dr. Donnelly is experienced in all aspects of comprehensive eye exams, as well as in the assessment and treatment of eye diseases and conditions. Childhood myopia, pre- and post-operative cataract and refractive surgery care, and advanced and specialty contact lenses are a few areas of particular focus. Dr. Donnelly is a member of the American Optometric Association and is currently on the board of directors for the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Dr. Donnelly joined Focused Eye Care following clinical experience at the South End Community Health Center in Boston, and at the Veterans Administration clinic in Lowell, MA. She received her Bachelor of Science, cum laude, from Creighton University in Omaha, NE and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the New England College of Optometry.

Kristen O. Bryant, O.D.

A New Hampshire native, Dr. Bryant received her Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN, where she was elected to the Golden Key and Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor societies. She completed her residency at the VA Medical Center in Memphis. Dr. Bryant specializes in low vision, is TPA/G-licensed to treat glaucoma, and provides comprehensive primary eye care, including post-operative cataract surgery care.

She is a member of the American Optometric Association, a past president of the New Hampshire Optometric Association, serves on the board of directors for Future In Sight (formerly the NH Association for the Blind), and is the clinical director of the New Hampshire Special Olympics Lions Clubs International Foundation Opening Eyes vision screening program.

Kristen O. Bryant, O.D.

Kendra M. Phillis, O.D.

A Nashua native, Dr. Phillis brings extensive clinical experience to her hometown area. She provides comprehensive primary eye care, as well as expertise with severe ocular surface diseases, general and specialty contact lens fittings, childhood myopia, and assessment and treatment of common eye diseases, including diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma and macular degeneration.

Dr. Phillis received her Bachelor of Science in biology from New York University and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) at New England College of Optometry (NECO), where she received several academic scholarships and is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa optometric honor society. Before joining Focused Eye Care in August 2020, she completed a NECO-directed residency that included extensive clinical rotations at several well-regarded vision-focused facilities, including Massachusetts Eye and Ear in Boston. Dr. Phillis is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Stephen P. Waible, O.D.

Dr. Waible’s interest in optometry began during his childhood in Nashua. He was diagnosed and then successfully treated for amblyopia – or lazy eye – a condition that causes vision in one eye to develop more slowly than in the other. He is dedicated to helping others experiencing amblyopia, as well as providing comprehensive vision care, including eye exams, assessment and treatment of ocular diseases, and dry eye treatment.

Dr. Waible earned his Bachelor of Science in biology with high honors at the University of Maine Orono and his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) with high honors at Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, where he was elected to Beta Sigma Kappa, the international optometric honor society. He completed clinical experience at Amoskeag Health and the VA Medical Center in Manchester, and the Eye and Vision Center in Worcester, MA. Dr. Waible is a member of both the American and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.

Catherine Johnson, O.D./F.A.A.O.

Dr. Johnson has a passion for vision care for children and disabled adults and has lectured and written extensively on pediatric issues such as amblyopia and eye misalignment. Before joining our team in 2024, she provided pediatric optometry services at Specialized Pediatric Eye Care, a community-based child’s vision specialty office based in Massachusetts.

A native of Canada, Dr. Johnson received her Bachelor of Science in biology and psychology from McMaster University in Ontario. She received her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from New England College of Optometry (NECO) and went on to complete her pediatric optometry residency at the same institution. Dr. Johnson has served as an associate professor at NECO, where she has received awards for teaching excellence. She donates her time to international eye care missions and a broad range of regional causes.

Ronald Coutu, O.D.

Dr. Coutu has been a leading optometrist in southern New Hampshire for more than 30 years. He has extensive experience in medical optometry and fitting for both specialty and standard contact lenses. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Optometry and a member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association. Dr. Coutu’s New Hampshire Optometric License includes therapeutic glaucoma privileges, the highest scope of practice available in the state.

Dr. Coutu received his Bachelor of Arts in biology from St. Michael’s College in Vermont and his M.B.A. in marketing from Plymouth State University in New Hampshire. He received his Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from The New England College of Optometry in Boston, where he was named to the National Dean’s List and Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society.

Lyudmila Sutherland, O.D.

Dr. Sutherland is a primary care optometrist providing comprehensive eye care and specializing in the management and care of patients with ocular diseases, including dry eye. While in optometry school, she served with Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity to provide eye care to the underprivileged communities of Batee San Gonzalo, Dominican Republic.

Dr. Sutherland earned her Bachelor of Science in health sciences from the University of Hartford in West Hartford, CT and her Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) from New England College of Optometry. She completed her residency in the VA Boston Healthcare System, specializing in primary care and low vision optometry. Dr. Sutherland is a member of both the American Optometric Association and the New Hampshire Optometric Association.
