Noted optometrist brings more than 30 years of experience to new position
Nashua, N.H. (March 29, 2024) – Focused Eye Care, a well-established southern New Hampshire practice providing comprehensive eye health and optometry services, has announced that optometrist Ronald Coutu has joined its growing team. Dr. Coutu brings more than 30 years of practice experience to Focused Eye Care and has served for more than 14 years on the board of directors for the New Hampshire Optometric Association (NHOA). He focuses his work on medical-based optometry with a sub-specialty in contact lens fitting for both specialty and standard contact lenses.
“Dr. Coutu brings a reputation for outstanding service and deep knowledge about medical optometry, including issues related to diabetes, glaucoma, and age-related macular degeneration. We are delighted to welcome him to our expanding practice,” said Sarah Jagatic, OD, partner in the practice.
Before joining Focused Eye Care, Dr. Coutu was a staff optometrist at Nashua Eye Associates P.A. in Milford for 32 years. Early in his career, he served as an adjunct professor in the ophthalmic medical assistant program at Nashua Community College and as a clinical instructor at the New England Eye Institute.
After receiving his bachelor’s degree in biology from St. Michael’s College in Burlington, Vt., Dr. Coutu received his M.B.A. from Plymouth State University and his Doctor of Optometry (OD) from The New England College of Optometry. He has received numerous awards throughout his career and has been voted Best Optometrist of the Souhegan Valley three times by the Greater Merrimack and Souhegan Valley Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Coutu resides in Bedford with his wife Patty and their dog Lola.
